Terms & Policies
Please read these terms carefully before booking a trip with us. By completing a booking, you agree to the following conditions.
1. Booking & Payment
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total trip cost is required to confirm your booking. The remaining balance is due 30 days before the departure date.
All prices are listed in INR and are subject to change without prior notice. Once a booking is confirmed with the deposit, the price is locked in for that booking.
Payments can be made via bank transfer, UPI, or any other method communicated by our team at the time of booking.
2. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellations made 30 or more days before departure: Full refund of the amount paid, excluding the non-refundable deposit.
Cancellations made 15–29 days before departure: 50% refund of the total trip cost, or a full credit note valid for 12 months.
Cancellations made fewer than 15 days before departure: No refund. A credit note may be issued at our discretion.
In the rare event that Ghoom Barabar Ghoom cancels a trip due to unforeseen circumstances (natural disasters, government advisories, insufficient group size), a full refund or a reschedule option will be offered.
3. Traveler Responsibilities
Travelers are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to undertake the chosen trip. We strongly recommend consulting a physician before any high-altitude or strenuous trek.
All travelers must carry a valid government-issued photo ID at all times during the trip.
Travelers must adhere to the itinerary timings. Ghoom Barabar Ghoom will not be liable for any costs incurred due to delays caused by individual travelers.
Any damage to property (hotels, guesthouses, vehicles) caused by a traveler will be the sole financial responsibility of that individual.
The use of illegal substances is strictly prohibited on all our trips. Violation will result in immediate removal from the trip with no refund.
4. Health, Safety & Insurance
Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all trips and is mandatory for high-altitude treks (above 3,500 metres). The insurance must cover emergency evacuation and medical expenses.
Ghoom Barabar Ghoom carries basic first-aid supplies on all trips and our trip leaders are trained in basic wilderness first aid.
In the event of a medical emergency, our team will facilitate the best possible care; however, all associated costs are the traveler's responsibility.
We reserve the right to turn away any traveler who, in the judgment of our trip leader, is deemed unfit to continue safely.
5. Privacy Policy
We collect personal information (name, contact details, emergency contacts) solely for the purpose of managing your booking and ensuring your safety.
Your data will never be sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share necessary details with accommodation partners and transport providers as required for trip operations.
We may use anonymised data and photographs taken on trips (with traveler consent) for promotional purposes on our website and social media channels.
You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at hello@ghoombarabarghoom.com.
6. Code of Conduct
Ghoom Barabar Ghoom is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all travelers, regardless of gender, religion, race, or sexual orientation.
Any form of harassment, discrimination, or bullying towards fellow travelers, trip leaders, or locals will result in immediate removal from the trip with no refund.
We are committed to responsible travel. Travelers are expected to respect local customs, avoid littering, and minimise their environmental footprint.
7. Limitation of Liability
Ghoom Barabar Ghoom acts as an organiser of travel experiences and is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or death arising from participation in our trips that is beyond our reasonable control.
Force majeure events — including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, government travel bans, pandemics, or extreme weather — shall excuse Ghoom Barabar Ghoom from liability.
Our maximum liability to any traveler shall not exceed the total cost paid for the specific trip in question.
8. Amendments to Terms
Ghoom Barabar Ghoom reserves the right to update these terms and policies at any time. The most current version will always be available on this page.
